The Fir Tree House is situated on a secure, secluded, and untouched stretch of the Pecos Canyon, just outside of Sante Fe, that has belonged to the same family since the 1940s. It has been scouted and chosen a number of times as a location in the past. This is the estate's first industry listing. The layout of the land would allow for simultaneous and diverse location opportunities, and offers access to the Pecos River from both sides with some of the best fly fishing in the area. Parts of the river are bordered on one side by the dramatically steep and rocky face of a mountain, with visible caves etched into the stone. A small, wild forest can be found at the end of one of the fields. The topography is rough in some areas, meadow-like in others, offering a visually rich mix of lush riverside forestry with cottonwoods and willows, and open fields with piñon and juniper. Several dirt roads run through the property affording access and vistas, and three wooden bridges cross the river - two are reinforced, and regularly driven across, one is a footbridge. Until recently the property was a working cattle ranch. The equipment in the barn works. The tack room is historic and unique. The pool is heated. The house was built using only wood and stone with masterful masonry in the hacienda-like patio area, and a walk-in fireplace in the living room. Total acreage approximately 120. All photos are recent.
